LANDOWNERS

WE ARE NOW LANDOWNERS!!!! Logan and I closed yesterday on our 106 acres and our new house (No the house is not new but it is to us). We are so excited. It is a few miles down the road from where we are now. It has been a long stressful process but we stayed faithful and here we are. As soon as the house is set up and we are moved in, I will post pictures.

I had a Dr. appointment on Tuesday and everything looked good. My blood pressure was 118 over 70 and the baby's heart rate was 155. All was normal. The baby has turned now and is head down. I have experienced some pretty strong contractions in the past few days but nothing consistent. It is likely everything is just getting prepared for the big day. I am now 33 weeks and counting!!!!

I can't wait for my baby shower this weekend. It will be lots of fun and I can't wait to see everyone. Hope you all are doing well. Love you!!!!!

This is your brain; this is your brain on pregnancy

I had a lot of energy last night and had decided to cook a big dinner. All I had left to do was heat up the veggies. So I opened the microwave door (so I thought) and put the veggies in and shut the door. Then I stood there in complete confusion because the buttons had disappeared!!!!!!!! Holy cow, how did that happen??? Maybe I should lay down for a little bit. Then it hit me, I was at the wrong appliance. I was standing in front of the freezer. Ifelt very silly.

Not only have I lost my mind, but I can't seem to find my ability to grip anything. I was holding a glass of milk this morning and just dropped it. I don't know why, it just happened.

So if anyone finds these missing items, please call me and you will recieve an award.

Well, I am 8 and a half weeks and experiencing contractions. Not all the time but some. I can't say that they are enjoyable but it is exciting because we are down to the last leg of this race. I can't wait finish. Hope all is well with each of you!!!!

Healthy

Okay, dogs are now healthy, and so am I. I had an appointment on Monday and I did the glucose tolerance test. It came back with a really high count. So yesterday, Logan and I went to the Hospital to have a more extensive test done. If you do not like needles, skip this part and read the end of the blog. I do not like needles but I have to write this so I can't skip (darn). Anyways, when we got there, they drew blood and checked for a normal reading and it was. Then I drank that wonderful glucose cocktail (yes, I am being sarcastic). Then 30 min. later they drew more blood. Then 30 min. after that, they drew some more. Then we waited an hour and they drew blood for the third time. Okay, I had to fast for this test so not only were they draining my blood supply but I had zero energy to go on. So as you can imagine, at this point, I was getting very queezy. The nurse asked if I was okay and I told her I really felt like I was going to puke. She decided maybe she ought to put us in a room for the next hour and let me lay down. (Good Idea) So I rested for an hour and Logan rubbed my head and talked to me the whole time until I fell asleep. (Thank you for that. I was releived you were there)Then the nurse came and drew blood for the fourth and final time. Logan and I got to see the results and they looked really high so we were a little nervous about what the Doctor was going to say when he got them.

So after all that, we went and had a little lunch and then went home. I pretty much rested the rest of the day because I really did not feel well. Once I woke up though, I was feeling much better. So I heard from the Doctor this morning and.......
I got the all clear. The readings were fine however, I was advised to watch what I eat because they were a little high. But I am healthy and so is our sweet angel.

So what does this mean for me???? Well, I have to give up my nightly routine of milk and cookies before bed and no more cherry cokes or ice cream sundaes. But I know my baby is well worth the sacrafice. I will wait till she is her and old enough and then she and I will share ice cream sundaes and cherry cokes.

So that is it for now. I am 31 weeks today and we now have ahout 9 weeks left. HOLY COW THAT IS NOT VERY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

THE SNAKE FARM!!!!

Okay, Logan went out of town and I have really missed him. I have also realized how much I depend on him. The other day, when I came home, I realized something was not quite right with the dogs. So I got out of the truck and just as soon as I put my feet on the ground, I realized exactly what had happened. They both (pepper and Sheriff) had been bitten on their noses by a rattle snake. AH!!!!!! Was my reaction. I was very scared because I was home alone and my babies were in bad shape. Their faces were swollen and you could see the two strike marks on both of them. So I called Logan in a panic and he calmed me down and gave me instructions. THank goodness for the rattlesnake vaccine. That is what saved them. Pepper had a very rough night and I ended up staying up with her most of the night. Sheriff was doing pretty good considering. But now, they are both back to themselves and feeling much better.

Logan, I love you so very much and miss you when you are gone. Not just because of all you do around here with the animals and the house but because I look foward to waking up next to you each day. I will be glad when you make it back home. I miss you!!!!!

Finally some pictures.

Okay, sorry for not adding more pictures lately but here they are. Hope you enjoy. And for the update on the baby: She is growing a lot. My beely feels really tight. She doesn't move as much as she had been but she still moves around quite a bit. Me and Logan read to her every night and she seems to like that. So far her favorite book is the jolly farmyard. She was really calm while I read the book and when I finished, she started kicking a lot. I started to read it again and she settled right down. It was very cute. Thanks Granny and Grandaddy for that book.
