God put us together for a reason

God knows what he is doing when he puts two people together. Just remember he is always in control and has a plan!

I wish Logan were here

Well, not a whole lot has changed since the last post. I have, however, discovered that everyday is something different. Some days I feel great and others I fill like just staying curled up in bed. But I am trying to take the good days and get all the things done that I need to get finished.

Logan has been out of town for the past week and left again on Saturday to go to the livestock show in San Angelo. He will be gone the rest of this week. I miss him so much. On those days I feel really bad, all I want is for him to scratch my head and sit with me. He has been working so hard and I know he could really use some rest and time off. When he gets back, he should be finished with traveling for awhile.

We started a pregnancy journal this weekend while he was in town. It is really neat. We are writing everything down from what I feel to what we want our children to learn from us. It is lots of fun to keep track and some day we will share this journal with our kids.

We had our Valentine's dinner finally on Saturday night. (Thanks Mama and Papa for the gift card). It was so nice to go out to eat just the two of us and relax. We had a blast.

Our Doctor's visit is next Monday so I will take a picture that day and post the details of our visit. Please pray for this because I am a little nervous. I am not sure why but I am. I guess because I do not know what they are going to be doing but I am also really excited to find out.

Feeling a little green

Okay, this week is my fifth week and I am feeling a little green from sun-up to sun-down. I pretty much feel sick at my stomach all day. I have been sticking to crackers, soup and light meals. Basically nothing sounds, looks or smells good right now. But when all is said and done, I am still overwhelmed with joy when I think about having a baby.

Logan has been out of town with Livestock shows so he has been missing the joys of morning sickness. I am sure he is so sad. Actually, this past weekend, I went to San Antonio to visit him at that stockshow. We had to head back to Pecos on Sunday Morning at around 8:00am to pick up some lambs and then turn around and head back the same day. We did not get back to San Antonio until 7:30 am the next morning. We made a few stops along the way to sleep and for me to moisten the highway. At on point, I thought I was doing okay and then all of a sudden, I was not okay. I asked him to pull over and I barely made it. But I have to give him some major kuddos because he stood behind me and held my hair the whole time. He really took good care of me.

Well, that is all I have for this week. I promise to start adding pictures soon.

The beginning

Okay-

I am starting this blog so I can keep everyone posted on the progress of our little sweetheart (the baby). Please check in every week or so to get the latest updates on our developing miracle. I will include pictures when I have them I promise. As of today, I am around 4-6 weeks. My first doctors visit was on January 29th to confirm the Pregnancy. This was actually a very funny visit. As most of you know, I don't always look my age. Many times, I am mistaken for a 16 year old (it's a curse I know; ha ha ha). Well this particular day was no different. So the nurse called Logan and I back to give us the results. She was very delicate in breaking the news as if this was going to upset us. When she said it was positive, I jumped for joy and started to cry. Logan was smiling ear to ear and was so excited. The nurse looked at us like we had lost our minds. She then asked if this was good news? I told her of course it was. Well, a few days later when I went in to sign some paper work for the insurance, the nurse pulled me aside and apologized. She said she thought I was much to young to have a baby but then she read my chart and realized the mistake. She said that she thought 28 was a great age to start a family. It was just another humorus event.

So, the next appointment is on March 2nd. They will do the first prenatal visit stuff then. I can't wait. So I ask for you prayers during this time and can't wait to share all the milestones with y'all.
