One more thing....

I wanted to help Logan feed the donkey's last night (yap we got donkey's, I will post picture's later) and I grabbed two flakes of hay and this hissing sound came from behind the hay bale. I was centimeter's away from getting bit by a huge rattle snake. Let's just say, yesterday was a day full of interesting events. I was very happy tp lay my head down and go to sleep last night.

Transfer case? What's that?

I now know what a transfer case looks like but I wish I didn't. How did I find out? Well, let me start from the beginning. I was driving to work yesterday morning and the truck was shaking a little and making a funny noise. I called Logan and we both figured it was a tire and that one of the balancing weights had fallen off. So he was going to check it out when i got home. Well, I never made it home in the truck. I was driving down 285 ( the two lane hwy that leads me home everyday, a 30 mile trip) and all of a sudden, BANG CLANK CRINK CRASH!!!!!!!!! The truck was still running but would no longer drive. I had no Idea what had happen. So I managed to get it pulled over to the side of the road. I got out and looked under the hood. I am not sure why I did this, I had no idea what I was looking for, I just figured that was what needed to be done. So I get back in the truck, call Logan and he said to turn the truck off and he would send some one to tow me back to town. (Logan works an hour away) So my dear friends Kevin and Christie headed my way. It was so hot I thought we (me and Dalila, yes she was with me) were going to melt. Then this light from above comes down the road. It was our friend Thomas. He heard what had happen and came out to the middle of nowhere so that we could sit in his airconditioned truck while we waited. He really saved the day. Thanks to all those who helped us last night. You truely mean the world to me. So here is a picture of the broken transfer case that caused all this

SNAKE?!?!?!?!? AGAIN?!?!?!?!?

Yes folks, Sheriff found another snake. He got bit on the leg. His leg and foot swolled up real bad but other thatn that he is ok. I bathed him and let him stay in the house for the last few nights but he is fine now. I swear, if there is a rattle snake any where with in 20 miles of our house, they will call it in.

Dalila is still growing and changing everyday. She had a half a turkey sandwich last night. I did not know she could eat that much.

New bonnett

Dalila got a few new bonnetts from the Fort in Fort Davis. She went there with her cousins and grandparents for the day and had so much fun. Thanks Nana and Pop.

Snake farm number 2

Well, last night, Dalila, Logan and I spent awhile outside walking around and playing with the dogs. It was a lot of fun and so peaceful. Well, we went in, had dinner and put Dally (nickname) to bed. I was taking a shower and all of a sudden I hear these load gunshots (we live about 15 miles from any kind of civilization and the closest civilization is a town of about 100 people. So.....) I hurry up and finish the shower, get dressed and come out of the bathroom to find poor sheriff (our oldest and fatest dog) trembling in the living room and the front door wide open. So I run outside to see what is happening and logan is half way underneath the house with his gun and a shovel. He told me there had been a huge rattle snake in the dog kennel. He was able to shot it but it slittered under the house before it died. He evetually got it out. So of course, like idiots, we are standing out side in our pajamas in the dark looking at a dead snake. Anyways, as we are walking back in the house, it hits me!!!!!!! We had been out there playing with Dally all evening and there was a huge snake there!!!!!!!!!!!! But we were all unharmed as well as the dogs. Oh, and trying to get Sheriff back outside took an act of God. But he finally went after being drug across the floor leaving some very lovely scratches. Poor guy. A day with Wyatt

Ok, these photos do not tell the whole story. Dalila recently got to spend the day with her friend Wyatt. In the pictures, it seems as though they were having a great time playing together. However, these were taken about 15 minutes before I picked her up. Apparently Dalila spent most of the day being, well, "a WOMEN". She would fuss at Wyatt and all he wanted to do was play or love on her. I do not know where she got the attitude but it wasn't me!!!!!!! Anyways, we had to have a little talk about the attitude that night and she is anxious to see her friend again to show him that she can be nice.
